The court in Italy has a particular judgment in a case against a man who was arrested for driving under the influence.
The man tried to bribe the officer to get out of a conviction and the judge did nothing illegal in it. Reported Today.it.
The Supreme Court acquitted the man of corruption, because he was the agent offered just 100 euros. According to the court a sum of 100 euros not large enough to be able to speak of corruption.
Not go unpunished
The court found that the man by his drunken state no longer "clear mind" when he made the offer.
The man was thus acquitted of bribery, but that does not mean he no punishment could leave the courtroom. The Italian was in fact convicted of drunk driving. There is in Italy a fine of between 500 and 6200 euros or a license suspension or jail term of between six and twelve months, depending on how much alcohol the driver consumed.
