The National Narcotics Agency in Indonesia may want to start using very bizarre methods to punish drug dealers.
The authority has made a proposal to packed dealers to take their own product until they literally fall down. That reports Al Jazeera .
It is illustrative of the despair that prevails at the Agency;but it gets a grip on drug problems in the country.
STRICT POLICY
If the proposal come through, policies against drug dealers will only get tougher. Already get caught drug traffickers too often face a firing squad: "We have to carry anywhere the fight against drugs," said Hendro Pandowo, a local police: "They have the streets in Jakarta and be eradicated throughout Indonesia."
Indonesia currently has about 4.5 million drug addicts. Daily about 33 people die from an overdose. Yet critics have their displeasure at the proposals. They include the view that the legislation does not distinguish between pure traders and effective drug.
