The hotline opened by the municipality of Amsterdam during the Easter holidays for reporting illegal vacation rentals received 21 notifications. At fourteen addresses actually found a violation.
Reported councilor Laurens Ivens, who has combat illegal vacation rentals in its portfolio, Wednesday.
Last summer, led the 'reporting hotline, such as the church calls the hotline, the establishment of 27 violations.
The municipality made earlier this month to a million extra free for tackling illegal vacation rentals, as happens through Airbnb and similar sites.
Part of that church money is used for activation of the reporting hotline (14020). That number Amsterdammers can anonymously report suspected illegal vacation rentals.
During the summer, the action will be repeated. Also during the Amsterdam Dance Event (19-23 October), the hotline is open.
