In an interview with Omroep West tells the man that he lived in a closet with a bed and a lot of waste. "I lived all those years in cookies and milk, it was not cooked for me."
The man would have had to work six days straight average of eighteen hours a day. He was given a salary of 250 euros per month. His employer promised to put the rest of his salary in a savings account, but the man never saw anything of it.
Justice has begun an investigation, but stressed that the affair is difficult to prove.
Passport
The Egyptian had to hand over his passport so that his boss could apply for a residence permit, he had been told. "I asked weekly to my passport, but was always told a different story. It is not done, the lawyer does not count yet, that kind of excuses," said the man, who also was threatened by his employer with death.
In 2012 succeeds the man managed to escape when he had to buy something for his boss in The Hague. Eighteen months later, the Egyptians did return.
