Sint-Niklaas are recent days arrested twenty young people, including seven under 18, which would be part of a gang that was dealing speed and cannabis.
Five minors were placed by the juvenile court, reports the Dendermonde department of the prosecutor's East Flanders.
In the center of Sint-Niklaas and especially around the station began a year ago, a nuisance problem, says the prosecutor.
"After thorough investigation, the local police of Sint-Niklaas could identify a gang of youths, of whom there were serious indications that they were involved in drug abuse and trafficking, especially of speed and cannabis.
Commissioned by the investigating judge in Dendermonde were carried out on 19 and 21 April nine house searches, with different mobile phones, computers, weapons, drugs and a sum of money were confiscated. "
When the action were arrested twenty people, including seven minors. In total, eighteen persons were brought before the investigating judge and the juvenile court.
Of the adults three suspects were arrested by the investigating judge and five minors were placed by the juvenile court. A number of minors will be monitored closely, notify the police and the prosecutor.
