Hennis Minister of Defence calls the situation in Crimea worrisome and said the international community should make every effort to avoid escalation.
Ukraine has its troops since yesterday in the highest state of alert since observations from Ukrainian border troops Russian troops have pulled together in Crimea.
Crimea was annexed by Russia in 2014. Eastern Ukraine is partly owned by pro-Russian separatists supported by Russia. Ukraine believes that the Crimea and the whole of Eastern Ukraine belong to Ukraine.
Russia claimed Wednesday that had prevented the secret service FSB Ukrainian attacks in the Crimea. Ukraine denies. "It is difficult to verify," said Hennis. "What we see is that Russia often throws oil on the fire by accusations. It is now important to keep the peace and prevent further escalation."
