All adverse reactions have led the applicant has decided to engage with SMEs Fuel to reduce the frequency of the commercials.
Because the high frequency with which the advertising is placed is the biggest annoyance of listeners. For some it is even a reason to zap away or turn off the radio.
Although the applicant was free to make agreements with advertisers, they can only give advice and do little to further the much talked about advertising. "The content and frequency is determined by the advertisers themselves." Says communications director Sabine Star Aachen in the NOS Radio 1 Journal. "We have however recommended in this case to achieve the frequency down."
Criticism
Despite all the negative reactions SMEs Fuel not going to pick up the spot of the radio. "Why would that be? Tom Knight has to say enough," said Jochem Paarl Mountain from the company that is behind it. "The frequency we could get down when everybody knows what Tom has to say."
