In Limburg there are 76 families who are homeless and not turn to emergency shelter. This made Social Care Moveoo last Saturday.
For these families, there is no place more in an emergency shelter and they are thus forced to shelter with friends, family or knowledge.
This is the crisis and financial problems by families who have lost their home. The social emergency shelter that for these families is governed by the Dutch Government can not provide help these people. The result is that these families so have to provide care. And it is still to be hoped that you actually family and friends have done you want to shelter, or in most cases, can provide. If this does not work then you get to do with youth care, because you can or not in the first basic needs for your child.
Often it is also already a problem if you own a homeless family to offer help. Do you have a House for rent, benefit or charges, then you can find yourself in deep trouble. Because even though the Government so promote like that we all have to give each other a helping hand, the Government is also the first ready to punish you hard for af.
Sign up not that your new temporary residents in your House, then you risk losing a hefty fine on your benefit or charges. Sign up the well, then the chance there is thick in that you cut. I wonder how the citizens should help each other as yet.
The psychological problems that entail a out of home settings are often underestimated. Especially if you as a family is put on the street. The feeling you have as a failing parent to your children is terrible. Other than that you have to take care that there is a solution to your debt problem, a roof over your head need to arrange and must provide a stable long-term solution, you also have your own emotions and feeling in control.
The 76 families are so parents with children, not to mention the families that are available in the emergency shelter. A shockingly number and this is only for the province of Limburg.
I wonder when it finally penetrates in the Hague that a change is needed in tackling debt problems. How do the high men and women in the Hague to ensure that there is also a solution for these 76 families and even better, avoid people so deep in trouble?
