Schultz: interviews with staff about safety Hats

The Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety ANVS soon talk to the operator of the reactor in Petten on the possible impact of the financial problems of security. Minister Schultz writes in a letter to parliament. The parties responded last week concerned at reports of security in Petten.

NIS spent Wednesday attention to a note of a nuclear expert, stating that operator NRG security is no longer the guiding principle and that financial pressure is too great.

Schultz emphasized in its letter to the House that the inspectorate is currently not doubt nuclear safety in Petten. But she adds that NRG should ensure that it enhances its safety performance continuously and that "special environmental conditions in the long term pose a risk."

The Inspectorate carries the coming weeks discussions with directors, management and employees of NRG. Those conversations are motivated "by concerns about the uncertain financial situation in relation to how this may impact on the safety behavior of the staff of NRG," the minister writes.
